Terms of Use

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Riser is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). The EULA governs your use of the app. The additional terms below explain subscriptions and a few things specific to Riser.

1. Riser+ subscriptions and purchases

2. Missions, exercise and sleep tips

Riser's wake-up missions can include light exercise such as push-ups, squats and walking. Only do movements you're comfortable with, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort. Consult a doctor before starting exercise if you have a health condition. You can always choose a non-physical mission like the Brain Warm-up. Bedtime suggestions based on sleep cycles are general wellness tips, not medical advice.

3. Alarms

Riser uses Apple's system alarms. Alarms depend on your device's settings, permissions, battery and software, and we can't guarantee they will ring in every circumstance. Don't rely on Riser alone for critical wake-ups such as medication or travel. Optional Escape-proof mode (off by default) re-rings the alarm, up to 10 times, if you stop it without finishing your mission. You can turn it on or off in Settings.

4. Acceptable use

Please use Riser for personal, non-commercial purposes and don't reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app, except where the law allows.

5. Intellectual property

All artwork, 3D models, sounds, characters, text and software in Riser are owned by the developer and protected by copyright. Weather data is provided by Apple Weather (data sources).

6. Liability

Riser is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The current version will always be on this page. Contact: james@withriser.com.
